Dry recyclables such as plastic, paper and cardboard, metallic and glass are equal to 38% of municipal waste, based on data within the World Bank’s What a Waste 2.zero report. Meanwhile, only 13.5% of those dry recyclables are literally recycled globally. Would that our kitchens and bogs look as Zen-like as those we see in design magazines or on Houzz.com. Our kitchen counters are crammed with small home equipment and other paraphernalia, and our toilet counters, ledges and shower nooks are full of personal-care items.
